Doors open at 7:00pm. Todd DePastino will introduce and talk with WWII veteran Jack Watson about his extraordinary service as a Marine in WWII, including the historic Battle of Iwo Jima.
Free for veterans, $11 for non-veterans. Point Park University’s Honors Program and History Department are partnering with the Veterans Breakfast Club for this special event. A light lunch will be served. The event is FREE for veterans. Non-veterans will pay $11 at the door. We invite all veterans and their families to this special event focusing on the impact of war on the families of those who fight. We’ll have children and spouses share stories, as well as veterans.

Topics include benefits, upgrading other-than-honorable discharges and more.

Cost is $20 and includes tour, boxed lunch, and program. Tour begins at 10:30am, followed by lunch and storytelling. Special guests will be the American Red Cross Overseas Association, which will be holding its annual convention in Pittsburgh that day. “Donut Dollies” will join our veterans in sharing their stories of service in Vietnam. In conjunction with the traveling We Can Do It! WWII Exhibit. Guests will tour exhibit, have breakfast, and veterans will share stories of service.
